# Coach Supervision

Ongoing professional supervision for coaches who are committed to the health of their practice, the quality of their work, and their own wellbeing.

All Jobs become Dream Jobs

## The most overlooked investment in your coaching career.

Most coaches invest heavily in their initial training. Far fewer invest in the ongoing supervision that keeps their practice healthy, their skills sharp, and their wellbeing intact. This is one of the most common mistakes in the coaching profession — and one of the most costly.

Coach supervision is a structured, reflective practice that helps you process your coaching work, identify your blind spots, navigate ethical complexity, and sustain the emotional capacity that great coaching requires. It's what separates coaches who grow throughout their career from coaches who plateau — or burn out.

Brain Squared Leadership Solutions offers both individual and group supervision, facilitated by coaches with the highest credentials in the profession. Whether you're a new coach building your practice or an experienced coach committed to continuous growth, supervision is one of the best investments you can make.

Why Supervision Matters

## What supervision does for your practice

### Prevent Burnout

Coaching is emotionally demanding work. Supervision provides a space to process the weight of your clients' challenges, identify when you're over-investing, and restore your capacity to be fully present.

### Blind Spot Detection

Every coach has patterns they can't see from inside their own practice. Supervision creates the outside perspective that helps you notice when your own history, biases, or emotional reactions are influencing your coaching.

### Continuous Improvement

The coaches who keep growing are the ones who keep reflecting. Supervision is a structured practice of reflection that ensures your coaching continues to develop throughout your career — not just during training.

### Ethical Clarity

Coaching presents complex ethical situations — dual relationships, confidentiality dilemmas, boundary questions. Supervision provides a safe space to think through these situations with an experienced guide before they become problems.

### Community & Support

Group supervision connects you with other coaches who understand the unique challenges of this work. The peer learning and mutual support that happens in a well-facilitated supervision group is one of its most valuable dimensions.

### Professional Identity

Supervision helps you develop a clear, confident sense of who you are as a coach — your style, your values, your approach. This professional identity is what makes you distinctive and what clients respond to.

Supervision Formats

## Choose your format

### Individual Supervision

60 min / session

1:1 supervision with Laurie Cozart, MCC. Ideal for coaches who want personalized attention to their specific practice challenges, or who are navigating a particularly complex client situation.

### Group Supervision

90 min / session

Small group supervision (4–6 coaches) facilitated by an experienced supervisor. Combines the depth of expert facilitation with the richness of peer learning. Most coaches find group supervision to be their most valuable ongoing development practice.

### Intensive Supervision

Half or full day

Deep-dive supervision sessions for coaches who want to work through a specific challenge, prepare for a credential assessment, or do a comprehensive review of their practice. Particularly valuable at career transition points.

Common Questions

## Frequently asked questions

### Is supervision required for ICF credentials?

Supervision is not currently required by the ICF for credentialing, though it is strongly recommended and is required by many other coaching bodies internationally. More importantly, it's simply good professional practice — the coaches who invest in supervision consistently report that it's one of the most valuable things they do for their practice.

### How often should I attend supervision?

Most coaches benefit from monthly supervision, either individually or in a group. During intensive periods — when you're building your practice, working with particularly challenging clients, or preparing for a credential — more frequent supervision is valuable.

### What's the difference between supervision and mentor coaching?

Mentor coaching is primarily developmental — focused on building specific coaching competencies. Supervision is more reflective and restorative — focused on processing your coaching work, maintaining your wellbeing, and developing your professional identity. Both are valuable; they serve different purposes.

### Who facilitates the supervision groups?

Our supervision groups are facilitated by Laurie Cozart, MCC, or by other senior Brain Squared Leadership Solutions coaches with specific training in supervision. All supervisors hold ICF credentials at the PCC or MCC level.
